Are you seeking your first teaching job soon? If so, there is a new CD ROM, J-90 Analysis: 2002, that provides a salary comparison software program. The CTA Research and Finance Department has used the latest data reported to the California Department of Education to develop this comprehensive salary schedule analysis program.

The program has several components. It can be used to compare salary schedules for every district in the state including average salary, percent change over the prior year and statutory base revenue limit per average daily attendance (ADA). The program also allows the user to select comparable districts using a set of variables and to make salary comparisons.

Copies of the CD and instructions were sent to SCTA Chapter Presidents at 4-year institutions. A limited number are available, so if you would like a copy, contact Gail Watts at 650/552-5346 or at gwatts@cta.org.
