SCTA Executive Board Meeting Minutes

- Present: Monica Masino (President), Leo Solis (Executive VP), Ngoc Le (Secretary -Treasurer), Jessica Abercrombie (Northern Regional VP), Chris Sumner (Southern Regional VP), Ken Wisdom (Southern Regional VP), Kyrian Smith (Ethnic Minority Rep), Erica Velazquez (Ethnic Minority Rep), Nam Nguyen (Past Officer), Jane Rodgers (State Council Rep), Kevin Wolfe (State Council Rep), James Sheldon (State Council Rep), Chance Carrico (State Council Rep)

- Call to Order: 11:59 a.m.

- President Masino swore in the State Council Reps and Past Officer-Chance, Jane, James, Kevin, and Nam

Committee Reports:

Student Ethnic Minority Affairs: Will organize a diversity workshop and create a survey to collect data on minority concerns.

Conference: Conference Committee will work towards diversifying our workshops to meet the educational goals of our members.
Membership: Will work toward improving our membership numbers by activating, educating, and cultivating its leaders through visitations.
Student Political Action: To educate, motivate, and advocate for students by mobilizing our membership.
Community Outreach: Continue collecting toiletries, look into having a carnival for students the day before R.A., and look into Read Across America.
Special Services: Will work toward increasing its scholarship funding and providing merchandise information online.

Board Appointments:

Nadia Bravo, CSU Northridge was appointed to Communications Editor.
