On May 27, West Valley Community College's Teach for Tomorrow Club/SCTA chapter had its last meeting and ended the year on a positive note. We were fortunate to have two teachers from the local school system attend and talk to us as they were a great resource of information and gave everyone insight into the credential process. They also gave us great information on classroom management, dealing with students, and parent-teacher communication. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to ask questions and to receive valuable feedback.

 

After the panel discussion, our chapter then recognized the many accomplishments done this year.  We even gave ourselves a round of applause for the four awards that West Valley Community College won at the SCTA Representative Assembly held back in April.  All the hard work has really paid off.  Our chapter also received the West Valley Community College Inner Club Council's "Club of the Year" award for the second year in a row!

 

We hope other SCTA chapters enjoyed the same rewarding year as our chapter.  We are ready for the challenges coming next year!
