Special Election Results

A recent special election was held to fill two State Council Representative vacancies for 2001-02. SCTA State Council Representatives are the ìstudent voiceî on the CTA State Council of Education. State Council convenes four times per year and is the policy body of CTA. Thanks to everyone who participated by declaring candidacy and/or voting!

Reps are elected by plurality vote. All candidates are ranked as alternates. Alternates will be asked to fill any vacancies for the remainder of the year if a State Council Representative cannot fulfill their responsibilities.

Election results are as follows:

State Council Reps:
Julie Alexander (Westmont College)
Joshua Hardwick (Chabot College)

Alternate #1: Erika Hughes (CSU Chico)**
Alternate #2: Allison Larios (Chapman University)
Alternate #3: Elizabeth Mooney (Dominican University)
Alternate #4: Monica Masino (CSU Dominguez Hills)
Alternate #5: Jacqueline Cox-Anderson (San Diego State University)
Alternate #6: Dean Ramser (College of the Canyons)
Alternate #7: Danielle Hoisington (Humboldt State University)
Alternate #8: Fawzia Saffi (CSU Hayward)

** Erika Hughes has moved into the position of State Council Representative to replace Kristy Cross who recently had to resign her position.

State Council Representative Elections for 2002-03 are currently underway. A mailing has been sent to all SCTA members. So, remember to vote!
