NEA RA Delegates Election

State associations send delegates to the National Education Association's (NEA) Representative Assembly each year based on their membership. Student programs such as SCTA are also allotted slots for delegates. This year, SCTA is able to send 3 delegates to RA which will be held June 30-July 5, 2002 in Dallas, Texas.

Delegates vote on policy and political issues before the Assembly on behalf of their constituency. In addition, SCTA delegates are also sent to the NEA Student Program's Leadership Conference which will be held June 25-29 in Dallas.

All candidates are ranked as alternates and will be called-on in order to replace any delegate who cannot attend the RA or the student leadership conference.
