Each year SCTA recognizes the contributions of our members, chapters and advisors. SCTA awards are presented at the SCTA Representative Assembly (the annual business meeting of the association).

- SCTA W.H.O. (We Honor Ours) AWARD
Presented to an outstanding local chapter leader. [Download Application]
- STUDENT IN POLITICS AWARD
Presented to a member for participation in the political process. [Download Application]
- OUTSTANDING CHAPTER ADVISOR(S)
Presented to outstanding faculty or staff that excel in their role as local chapter advisor. [Download Application]
INDIVIDUAL OR CHAPTER AWARD CATEGORIES:
- PARTNERS IN EDUCATION AWARD
Recognizes an outstanding "partnership" between any organization and a local SCTA chapter or SCTA member. [Download Application]
- VIRGINIA ANN SHADWICK HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD
Presented to a local SCTA chapter or SCTA member that has made a significant accomplishment in furthering human rights issues. [Download Application]
CHAPTER AWARD CATEGORIES:
- OUTSTANDING LOCAL CHAPTER
This is the most prestigious award given by SCTA. This award is presented to the chapter that has excelled in various categories. [Download Application]
- OUTSTANDING NEW CHAPTER
Presented to the outstanding new or re-activated local chapter. [Download Application]
- CHAPTER IN POLITICS
Presented to an outstanding local chapter for promoting student involvement in political activities. [Download Application]
- OUTSTANDING CHAPTER NEWSLETTER
Presented to a local chapter for an outstanding newsletter. [Download Application]
- OUTSTANDING C.L.A.S.S. PROJECT
Presented to the chapter that has organized, coordinated, and implemented the most outstanding C.L.A.S.S. project. (Chapter must have applied for and received a NEA Student Program C.L.A.S.S. grant for community service activities). [Download Application]
- CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP RECOGNITION
Provides recognition to chapters for the greatest membership increase from the previous year (both numbers and percent) as well as the largest overall membership for the year.
