Politics and Legislation or PAL is the CTA Legislative Relations Department's award-winning publication that provides readers with timely information about action on legislation affecting students and teachers in their classrooms. Written in Sacramento in the shadow of the state Capitol, PAL briefs CTA leaders on issues including the state budget for education and measures that relate to education excellence and reform, credentialing, teacher rights, school accountability, and other vital subjects. PAL is published weekly during the legislative session, with summary issues published at other key junctures. PAL's editor is Len Feldman (lfeldman@cta.org).
