The California Teachers Association is disappointed, but not surprised that the governor is opposing Proposition 82, the Preschool for All initiative. Rather than supporting programs that would help kids, public education and California, the governor is again aligning himself with the same big-business supporters who wanted to cut public school funding in the special election last November. This measure would raise $2.4 billion a year to provide four-year-olds access to quality preschools, helping them to be better prepared to learn and more likely to graduate from high school and go to college
