The CTA Risk Management and Member Benefits Department (RM/MB) is responsible for the development, delivery, marketing and administration of the CTA member benefit programs, including the handling of complaints from members involving CTA's endorsed vendors. The Member Benefits Department also acts as a resource, providing analyses, recommendations and consultation for CTA on a wide range of topical health and welfare issues such as health care reform, legislative changes, and Jointly Managed Trusts. In addition, the Department is responsible for the administration of CTA's corporate and chapter insurance program, including general liability, workers' compensation, property and casualty insurance.

CTA's New Partnership with The Standard -- A Helpful Q&A
 
CTA is pleased to announce its new partnership with The Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) as its exclusive carrier for its group voluntary and district paid plans. This new endorsement will begin September 1, 2007. This Q&A is intended to provide you with information about the new program and will be updated periodically during the transition process.

The CTA Economic Benefits Trust (EBT) currently funds the Death and Dismemberment Plan, the Consumer Education Benefit Program, and the Health Information and Wellness Program. The EBT is the policyholder for the CTA Voluntary Life and Disability Plans. The EBT was formed in June 1994 by the CTA Board of Directors to provide CTA members with specified benefits permitted under Section 501(c)(9) of the Internal Revenue Code. The trustees for the EBT include CTA President Barbara E. Kerr, CTA Vice President David A. Sanchez, CTA Secretary-Treasurer Dean E. Vogel and CTA Executive Director Carolyn Doggett.
