: "I Can Do It"

"I Can Do It" is a one-day, member-cadre-led classroom management workshop developed to assist new teachers in the classroom.  Jointly developed in 1996 by a group of CTA chapter presidents and San Bernardino County district superintendents, the "I Can Do It" workshop is designed for new K-12 teachers in their first five years of teaching.
 
The "I Can Do It" workshop can be hosted by any local association office. A minimum of 30 and a maximum of 60 participants are required. To bring "I Can Do It" to your area, contact your local association.
 
The "I Can Do It" workshop covers many of the necessary elements for successful classroom management as well as:
  • communication and learning styles
  • interventions for difficult behavior
  • how to create a smoothly flowing classroom
  • tools for building positive parent/teacher relationships
  • linking with a partner for future support
