: English Learner Support

Nearly all activities of the Assessment and English Learner Support Program involve development of CTA's comprehensive program to prepare and certify teachers to deliver services to LEP children in two major instructional areas: English Language Development (ELD) and Specially Defined Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE). The department provides technical assistance to local chapters, CTA leadership, and various CTA departments in the areas of standards, assessment, curriculum, instruction, accountability, evaluation, as well as the education of language minority children.
