The CTA website is a winner of a Creative Excellence Award in the International Web Page Awards competition. It has also won 1st Place in the E-Media category from the State Education Editors group at its nationwide competition in past years. Maintained by Communications staff, the site has logged more than 8 million page views since its inception in mid-1996.

 

In its latest "remodel," the site was designed to meet the needs of CTA members and the public in a better way. In addition to a newer look and feel, the site includes a Press Center, a search engine, a completely revised Inside CTA section that describes the services CTA departments offer to members, a revamped Politics & Legislation section, and an updated educational links area. Another feature is the inclusion of the Spanish version of CTA's parent brochure, "52 Ways to Help Your Child Learn," and Family Involvement Campaign brochures in 11 languages.

 

The site's "easier" navigation system is as gentle to viewers as an information site can be. The site is constantly updated - usually several times each day.

 

The webmaster has received and processed well over 25,000 e-mail messages thus far, and CTA expects that figure will only grow.
