Position: Temporary Human Resources Analyst II - Human Resources Management
Location: Burlingame (1705 Murchison Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010)
Duties and Responsibilities: Incumbent may perform any combination of the tasks listed below:
Coordinates application and use of the department's computerized employee database which includes: entry, retrieval, generating reports, program modifications, and customization.
Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the computerized database system including liaison with ISSD staff and programming specialists.
Coordinates and performs the work tasks associated with HRIS software conversions and upgrades.
Provides training and technical advice for HRIS users.
Coordinates and performs tasks associated with the employment process including recruitment, applicant screening and interviewing.
Assists in the coordination of the employee benefits plans including preparing monthly fringes and application of COBRA.
Provides administrative support for a variety of department programs.
Maintains the department's Payroll Authorization and Document Logs.
Prepares reports and correspondence as requested.
Maintains the department's personnel files.
Prepares employment verifications and maintains appropriate files and logs.
Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA or BS. Or, AA Degree and two (2) years relevant experience. Or, five (5) years relevant experience.
Proficient secretarial skills including: letter, memorandum, and report formatting; punctuation and spelling.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and self-initiative.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, solve routine office problems within established departmental procedures, and relate well to staff, employment candidates, and others.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in the use of computer technology and the ability to learn and use the Association's software programs.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
General knowledge of CTA's organizational structure, and staff-related policies.

* This position is in a bargaining unit represented by CAS. Salaries are established by a collective bargaining agreement. Step placement is also determined by the CTA/CAS Agreement.
