A. Important Issues of interest to CTA - What was important about the conference? Bottom line - what did you get out of it?
Please be clear and concise, as a guide you may want to ask yourself in terms of the entire CTA, so what, who cares, and does CTA need to know this? If the answer is no, leave it out.
Being brief and still having an important message is very challenging, and makes for a great report.
B. Do you have a meaningful recommendation? If no, then don't respond. How do you know if you have a meaningful recommendation?
In a meaningful recommendation you are asking CTA to take action. When a person goes to a conference, the recommendation is in the context of the conference, and you are asking CTA to do something, to take action. The more clear, and the more it can be placed in context, the more meaningful the recommendation.
Possible examples of SAMPLE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACTION BY CTA related to conferences:
That CTA oppose -
That CTA support -
That CTA find out more about _____________ and consider a policy concerning it.
Note 1: The recommendation that CTA should monitor XYZ is not particularly a meaningful recommendation.
Note 2: Group conference reports – if two (2) or more persons attend the same conference; a group report may be filed. If it is a group report, please be sure to list the contact person with a phone number if there is any question about the report.
